Normal & Performance Take-off
• Check Rwy Center Line / Compass / HI
• Breaks – Full RPM – Gauges Normal
• Release breaks
• Airspeed Alive
• Vr
• Climb Vx or Vy
• Positive Climb, Gear

To Climb: Pitch first – Achieve Airspeed – Add Full power

Landing
• GUMPS
• Downwind / Glide Slope / FAF –Gear Fixed / Down
• Approach / Base Leg – Flaps as required
• Short final Full Flaps if required

To Descend: Reduce Power – Hold Altitude – Achieve Airspeed – Descend

Go-Around
• Full Power- Stop descent
• Positive Climb Flaps Up – Gear up – Flaps up
• Climb Vx or Vy
• Talk to ATC only when possible after establishing climb

Slow Flight
• 3000 AGLGUMPS / Clearing Turns
• Reduce RPM 15
• Maintain Alt and AS
• Pitch for Airspeed and Power for Altitude
• Recover with Power to Cruise
• Flaps up, Gear Up, Flaps up

Power-Off Stall
• 3000 AGL GUMPS / Clearing Turns
• Reduce RPM 15
• Flaps as required
• Establish Descent
• Bank as Required – Pitch up to 60 – Idle Power – induce stall
• Recover on recognition of imminent/onset of stall – Lower Nose
• Recover with Full Power
• Positive Climb Flaps up- Gear up- Flaps up
• Power to Cruise

Power-On Stall
• 3000 AGL GUMPS / Clearing Turns
• Reduce RPM 15
• Flaps as required
• Establish Climb
• Bank as Required – Pitch up to 60 – Full Power – induce stall
• Recover on recognition of imminent/onset of stall – Lower Nose
• Recover with Full Power
• Positive Climb Flaps up- Gear up- Flaps up
• Power to Cruise

Accelerated Stall
• 3000 AGL GUMPS / Clearing Turns
• 21 or 22 RPM
• 45 Degree Bank
• Briskly Increase Back Pressure
• Recover on recognition of imminent/onset of stall – Lower NoseBriskly
• Recover on recognition of buffet – Lower Nose – Level Wings
• Power to Cruise

Unusual Attitude Recovery
Nose Up Unusual Attitude:
Recognized by decreasing airspeed.
 Recovery:
1. Lower nose to horizon – to prevent stall
2. Add power – to minimize loss of altitude
3. Level wings
Back to cruise flight after recovery

Nose Down Unusual Attitude : Recognized by increasing airspeed.
Recovery:
1. Reduce or Idle power – to prevent over speeding
2. Level wings – to avoid exceeding load factor
3. Pitch nose to horizon – to minimize loss of altitude
Back to cruise flight after recovery

Steep Turns
• 3000 AGL GUMPS / Clearing Turns
• Reduce Power to Cruise
• Airspeed belowVa
• Establish heading / Altitude / Reference Point
• 45(Pvt) to 50(Com) degree bank
• On roll out, stabilize Heading / Altitude
• Repeat steep turn on opposite direction

Steep Spiral
• 3000 AGL GUMPS / Clearing Turns
• Select reference point (Preferably Intersection)
• Idle Power
• Trim for best glide speed – Clean Configuration
• Bank as Required to maintain quarter mile distance from ref point
• Complete 3 spirals
• Power to cruise – level off assigned altitude

Loss of one engine
• Fly the plane – Maintain Directional Control
• Pitch to Best Glide Speed and trim
• Find a Runway or field to land
• Fly a pattern towards landing
If altitude permits
• GUMPS and Restart / Use Check List if time permits
• If Unable to start – Secure the Engine and switch off fuel
• Squawk Emergency / Transmit Mayday Call
• Open door latches on final if possible
• Commit flaps only if you are sure to make it to the runway / field

Emergency Descent
• 3000 AGL GUMPS / Clearing Turns
• Idle Power
• White Arc – Full Flaps
• Establish Descent 10 knots below Max white arc
• Bank as Required – Up to 45 Degrees
• Power to cruise – level off assigned altitude
• Clear Flaps
